The CBD Start-Up Guide
So, you’ve overheard your co-workers or friends hyping up this new cannabis product called CBD, and you’re feeling the FOMO start to creep in like the fog on a summer day in San Francisco. Don’t worry, I’ve been there too, and I’ve written this article to fill you in on all the details so that you can decide if it’s something you might wanna try too!
What is CBD?
CBD is short for the scientific term cannabidiol (canna..bid..e..all, let’s try again.. canna..bid..e..all). What does that actually mean? Well, most of you are probably familiar with THC, which is the psychoactive molecule in the cannabis plant that gives you that high, euphoric feeling. What most people don’t know about cannabis is that THC is just 1 of over 111 identified phytocannabinoids in the plant! CBD is another one of those phytocannabinoids that is very prominent.
Recent studies have found that it has the potential to have significant impacts on treating stress, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, autoimmune disorders, and even cancer. I know what you’re thinking right now because when I heard this for the first time I was thinking it too: “This sounds way too good to be true.” Well it turns out that there is real science and studies backing the reason why it can have such a significant impact on such a broad range of health issues. CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning that you can use this powerful medicinal plant without having to get that high feeling that can be disorienting sometimes. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had my fair share of fun with THC, and sometimes I still do. But for me, there is a time and a place for that..in other words..I’ve got sh*t to do! And I’m sure you do too. So yes, it’s true, you can get the happy moods without the high when taking CBD.
Should I Take CBD?
The real question is...why wouldn’t you take CBD? There are so many amazing benefits to taking CBD for different a lot of different reasons! Take a moment to reflect and ask yourself the questions below:

Prices can have a broad range anywhere from $40-$100+ depending on what you’re buying, and I can see how this can be confusing to understand what makes one product more expensive than the other. The key thing here is that companies who take greater care in ensuring premium, high quality ingredients are most likely to charge more because it costs them more to make it. Additionally, brands with good reputations can charge a premium rate because they add value in other ways like providing free educational information (like this blog) or peace of mind in ensuring consistent quality.
Lab Tests: Lab tests are an essential part of accountability in the CBD world as it stands. Truthfully, there is no “one size fits all” answer to this question. Micro is typically the best route to take for reasons like helping you fall asleep easier, easing tension headaches, inducing calm and balanced moods, subsiding nausea, reducing stress levels in the body, and aiding your metabolism. A micro dose ranges anywhere from .5 mg to 20 mg per dose per day.
Standard doses can help you ease bodily pain such as arthritis or any inflammatory conditions, subside anxious or depressive thoughts & mental disorders, aid in weight loss, treat autoimmune disorders and much more. A standard dosage ranges from 10 mg to 100 mg per dose per day.
